Don McIver is a PR management veteran specializing in agency operations reviews, organizational development and business leadership.
McIver has significant experience driving corporate growth and developing strategic business initiatives. He also has expertise tracking inefficiencies, HR Management and Compliance, Information Technology and Telecommunications, Facilities and Office Management and Benefit Plan Selection.
McIver was most recently COO of 5W Public Relations, reporting to the President-CEO. During his tenure at 5W, McIver implemented new budget forecasting and modeling that improved financial decision-making and reduced operational costs significantly. He also sharply reduced employee turnover by improving recruiting processes, enhancing welfare benefits and implementing employee training and development programs.
Prior to working at a 5W McIver was COO of MWW, where he generated 50 percent increases in revenue and profitability via execution of operational improvements. In addition, he slashed $300,000 in benefit expenditures in two years by deploying new benefits programs and elevated personnel hiring procedures, resulting in a 30 percent reduction in recruitment costs.
He also has experience advising PR startups, including business development, operations and staffing.
McIver has an MBA from Iona College and BA in Political Science from Montclair State University. He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Certified Zenger-Miller Instructor/AchieveGlobal.
