The celebratory dinner was a blast. The tapas were a joy to behold and the Merlot was ever so zesty. But now that the party is over, the real work of creative services transactions begins. The new teams have to commit to working together for what can often be a six-month transition process. It’s probably a good idea that a dedicated manager be appointed to handle the transition overall. Agenda items include office space, talent and cross-referrals. But there are many moving (and often unforeseen) parts to an integration. The trick is that both sides be transparent and address any and all issues about the merger of firms.
