Gould+Partners Will Donate Proceeds From New M&A PR Book to Hole in the Wall Gang Camp Charity

NEW YORK, NY, APRIL 29, 2016 Gould+Partners is pleased to announce that that net proceeds from “Doing It The Right Way: 13 Crucial Steps For A Successful PR Agency Merger or Acquisition,” written by managing partner Rick Gould, CPA, J.D., will be donated to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, the nonprofit organization that provides a “different kind of healing” for seriously ill children and their families.

Founded in 1988 by actor Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp includes a summer camp for children with chronic illnesses and a year-round outreach programs for kids in hospitals and clinics throughout the northeast. These programs serve 25,000 children and their families annually, free of charge.

During summer sessions and family weekend programs in Ashford, Conn., campers aged 7 – 15 ride horses, create crafts, swim, fish, celebrate friendship and “raise a little hell,” according to the charity’s website. (The camp is named after the gang in Newman’s classic film, “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.”)

The majority of campers have been diagnosed with cancer, sickle cell anemia, HIV/AIDS, hemophilia or other serious medical conditions. Routine, 24-hour medical care provided includes medications, nutrition and respiratory care.

“The summer camp is a place that gives kids hope and provides for a lot of fun in their lives,” said Rick Gould, managing partner of the firm that bears his name. “But the charity does so much more, in terms of the outreach programs and bringing that sense of fun from the Camp to kids who are too sick to go there.”
