Best Places to Work Checklist: What Sets Workplaces Apart

happy-peopleAs discussed in our November 12 Anchin/Gould+Partners seminar, employee turnover is an ongoing problem in the PR industry. While it is difficult to pinpoint the exact cause of the industry’s high turnover rate, poor management, lack of opportunity for advancement and dissatisfaction with company culture are among the most common culprits.

The November 16 issue of Advertising Age included a list of the top 50 advertising, ad-tech and media agencies to work for in the U.S. Rankings were determined based on analysis of compensation, benefits packages, hiring practices, work-life balance, company culture and more. This list included Coyne PR (#20), a PR firm led by our friend Tom Coyne who, as CEO, has helped to build an organization where “leadership, great benefits and quality clients” help to retain employees.

The firms included on Advertising Age’s Best Places to Work list give companies in the PR industry something to strive towards. From making employees feel valued and appreciated to providing career development opportunities and perks, these firms have so much to offer.
